You didn’t address several elephants in the room. Yaesu IS over the guy who just bought a 500. Anytone updates all the time, I don’t have to purchase a new radio to get the upgrade. We don’t need or want another overpriced dual band radio. a $200 Th-9800 will do the same job. We do want a replacement for one of the best radios yaesu ever built, the 857 at a reasonable price point. Do be like kenwood and get greedy, overpricing the rigs.
